It’s possible you’ve never heard of the concept of employing little, or ‘micro’ habits to make a big difference in your life. Even if some of the behaviours we’ll discuss appear insignificant, they’ve been shown to have a significant impact on your life. So let’s take a look; perhaps you have a few of them underway already.
1/ Stopping soda and energy drinks
should be the first small habit to break. Drink filtered water with lemon or lime juice as an example, and make sure it’s clean. When you first wake up in the morning, drink one glass of water. Drinking one glass of water before going to bed helps to keep you hydrated at night since you sweat a lot. Make sure you’re getting the recommended daily quantity of water for your weight. One-and-a-half gallons of water per day is all you need if you’re little.
2/ Put a big grin on your face
When you smile, your mouth muscles urge your brain to create “happy hormones,” which make you feel better. You’ll feel better about yourself if you smile more. When you get up and go to bed, smile at yourself in the bathroom mirror to create the habit.
3/ Never stop learning new things.
Every day, whether it’s a new term or an intriguing fact about a subject you’re passionate about, make an effort to improve your knowledge base.
4/ Every day, read something new.
A list of positive affirmations is an excellent place to start. Your life will alter if you keep your brain busy and packed with useful information.
5/ Practice forgiving yourself on a daily basis
Allow yourself to make errors and then learn to forgive yourself. Take the time to forgive yourself if you recall anything you did years ago that had a bad impact on your life. Seeking forgiveness is an ongoing process. Grudges and resentment have a bad effect on your life.
6/ Start keeping a daily account of your finances
Monitor your wallet’s activity to see what’s coming out and what’s going in. You should keep all of your receipts, and you should make it a point to double-check your purchases as soon as you get home. The more money you have in your pocket, the more money you have to put into your future self-improvement efforts.
7/ Affirmations should be done on a daily basis
Organize your affirmations on a file card and refer to it when you need a boost in your thinking. Before you go to bed at night, make sure to say your most powerful affirmation one more time. After you come out of the shower, gaze yourself in the mirror and utter an affirmation loudly. This tells your brain that you believe what you’re saying, and your brain will start working on it as a result.
8/ It takes determination to get out of bed early
Encourage yourself to get up early every day by reminding yourself that you will have more time to focus on your goals if you do so. Yoga, meditation, or simply sitting quietly and embracing the greater force in your life are all excellent choices during this time.
9/ On your way to work, listen to upbeat podcasts
Consider listening to podcasts that will help you develop as a person. Having a sports podcast playing while driving is not recommended. As you grow as a human being, remember that your car may be a mobile university. The bonus is that you can block out the sounds of the bus or metro.
10. Look after your own well-being
Look for opportunities to practise self-care throughout the day. Take a hot bath and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil or use a special hand massager and high-quality soap to massage your face and scalp as you shower.
11/ Stay away from a cluttered environment
An after-meal tidy up should involve the entire house. Instead of pulling out the vacuum, take a brief walkabout and collect any cups, magazines, or fliers that might be lying around the house.
12/ Pay attention to what other people have to say
Allow the other person to do most of the talking when you’re conversing, and see what you can learn from them.
